Monumental Happenings- Boston 2015 Foo Fighters- Fenway Park

7/18/2015- 7/20/2015

Foo Fighters Concert @ Fenway Park 2015.
Boston, MA.

My list of monumental happenings this year have gotten bigger. Thanks to the fantastic city of Boston MA, my beautiful family and friends, and the Rock N' Roll band The Foo Fighters. Although I've been to Boston many times, I have never been to the Fenway stadium. As a New York resident and Yankee fan, I grew up never making it a priority to get there to see a game. But this event was different. Going to Fenway for a Rock concert just seemed like a no brainer for my family. Some people go to Florida for family vacations, my family goes to music festivals and rock n' roll concerts to see our favorite bands and experience the culture of our favorite cities right that our right back yard.

I feel so grateful to have seen The Foo Fighters in a stadium of extraordinary size and American history. They put on the biggest, loudest, and most energetic show for more than 35,000 fans happily packed tight at Fenway Park. As I would take a short break to catch my breath from rockin' out to The Foo Fighters songs as well as keeping up with the energy of the famous frontman Dave Grohl, I look around to see everyone in the crowd with a smile on their face. It was a bit surreal to see so many people at the same time, loving their current state and environment they are in. It was overwhelming and ever so beautiful to watch.

What makes this tour so special for all who get the opportunity to see The Foo Fighters in the next 6 months,  is you will get to witness the frontman Dave Grohl's incredible perserverence and creativity. His willingness and determination to continue the American tour after a nasty fall off the stage in Europe that caused him to break his leg.
From then on this tour has been deemed the "Broken Leg Tour" as all of his fans, stage crew, family and friends support the decision to continue the tour. We all know Dave runs around stage with loads of energy which adds to his demeanor as the ultimate stage performer. Dave could have taken 6 months off and waited to be healed, instead he used a little innovation and creativity to beat the odds. He designed a moveable throne to sit on as he shreds on the guitar singing at the top of his lungs on stage. I find this solution admirable and look up to him as a role model due to this act of nobility.
